Just a thought
Ok,need to some advice or a tip if anyone is reading this but how dose a DJ like myself get a gig a nightclub?? I Know for a fact you need to have a good demo cd...and also when you approach the manager at the nightclub you have to look your best first impression is everything.But my question is when is the best time to hit up the manager at a night club?? on a Friday night?? Sat night or Sun??? or is it better hand write them a letter instead of e-mailing them telling them that you wanna work in there nightclub??? just need some advice that's all.Because I feel like the more I'm a trying the less I'm getting nowhere. so dunno if there's a simple solution to all of this or am I missing something here.???? fill me in with whatever u wanna tell me thanks... Ok the other day I was asked by someone, if there was one thing you alwasy wanted to do in your life before your time is up what would be??? it can be anything.... well for me, actully it would be 2 things in life I want to accomplish before it's my turn to go. 1.To make it really far with my DJ skills and able to have a famouse dj open up for me sometime. 2. TO be in a band and see how far I can really go alwasy wanted to sing in one,just never had the chance to get one together but that's another goal I so want achive. what about you people out there in Lj?? what would u like to accomplish before it's ur time to go? Or what goal would u like to achieve before it's time to leave this earth knowing that u completed your goal. It can be anything......love to hear what you guys have to say.... later!!! yay my first event ever thrown
 my frist event ever thrown by me and held by me.Now normaly I've been invited to DJ at events that wasn't held by me.but someone at the bar that I work asked me to host an event and well from the looks of it people are really digging my flyer. now the only ? is do they show up?????? that's the tricky part. well hopefully word will get out and people will show up and come out and support me. it's the only way I feel that people will take me seariously as a DJ and see me who I am and will start coming out to see me more often and hopefully a fan base will start to build since right now I am still a new DJ in SF and nobody really knows me and it's hard to get a fan base but after this event I hope things will start to look my way. Just a thought
Ok ok, got a question that's been stumping me for a while now. OK this goes to all your professional Dj's out there. OK we all know that there are certin songs mash up back to back with each other very well.and then there are songs that don't mix well with each other. So my ? have u guys ever found a song that is so hard to mix into a really good set and no matter how many times you play with your pitch finder or how many times you wait for the right beat to catch to put your next song on.that song you play dose't mix.And before u realize it your last song is like almost about to end.SO to all you dj's out what do u do in that kind of a susisation?? I Mean would u just fade in and out to that one song that just can't mix very well? or just try to wing it and hope that it dosen't sound a like a complete train wreck??? I dunno alwasy wanted to know what other dj's do when they come across a hard ass song that kicks there ass littlery. Well true I know they say know your songs inside and out but sometimes there songs that u happen to miss or really don't play quite that offten. just wanted to know what other dj's do??? so feel free to fire away on that..... you know what really sucks. When your favorite pair of DJ headphones breaks and blows out a ear during ur live set and u don't have any back up headphones to use...And u have mix with out headphones that really sucks.... another techinal tech ?
ok another techinal ? to any computer expert or DJs.
ok here's the scoop.Just got done making a really good demo.which I finally got together(yeah I know right) anyway
how do I split the tracks up? so when I burn it to a cd.it won't be a nonstop track.meaning it would say on the cd player track 1.
so is there any programs that u guys recomend? or any advice will help.hit me back if u can.thank so much.
Just need to know how tp split up tracks when recording.

A ? to all you Computer experts
OK I have a ? to all your compture experts out there here on LJ. My ? is ok I had a bunch of videos(which I finally found a program)that converts swf files to Avi file.I forgot what swf stood for anyway. so I googled to look for my answare but found a bunch of random crap that really didn't slow my anwsare I am looking for. so my ? is how do u burn avi files on to cd-R? meaning so that I can be able to watch videos on a regular dvd player. or do I need to buy a dvd burner? or is there a simple easy program to use? or do u guys know one that is good to use or find? because gooogle right now isn't helping me at this point whatsoever and youtube can flake off for all I care either.
so any compture experte out there who is on LJ please hit me back and let me know because this is driving me crazy.Even if ur a friend on my lj or if I don't know u and ur on mylj buddy list or if I am on ur buddy list just hit me back to end this madness so I can finally get ride of these videos of my pc.

update
time for a short up date. saw a few movies over the hoildays.
-Saw V=good movie,very goorie,alot more blood.but had a good plot and I finally saw it.(saw it lol)
just to end the whole saw searious.I didn't catch saw 3. But in saw 4 u pretty much figure it all out. the Movie explains itself
entirely and reveiels so much and that u catch on real quick in the begging anyway.
-4 christmas. OK movie not exctally what I expected to be.but a ok movie worth seeing.Not as funny like most
Holiday movies are.
-Twlight=Good movie.I really liked it.Long movie I will say but so worth seeing.I would see again if I have to.
the Author who wrote the book,which is now a movie touched me good.I mean tha movie touched me in a way I can't explain.
I mean ok the author of twilight which she now has like 2 other searious out,which I so need to read. She is like a step down from Ann Rice.I mean ok in Ann Rice movies like Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damn.She take you back to like the 1800's
where people are dress up in old fashion clothes and there hair is different. And her vampires are so mysterious,so sexual,
so creepy that If I got near one yeah I would be freaking out going,yup I'm food to them and there gonna bit me. Veruses
in the new movie Twlight, you can't really tell there Vampires until later on they explain how they are. I mean she dosen't have them as ok fangs, bite there victims on the next and boom there now a vampire she has them blended in so well that u can't really tell.
But basically it's a comin love story between a Human and Vampire. But that movie really touched me so good that I actully felt it.
ALso she's now one of my faviort new authors.I was so temped that I ended up buy the book.Now when I read I will have a clear idea of what's going on. Yeah I know they say it's better to read the book before you go and see the movie. The book will explain more about what's going on.
But now I have something to read, for my Vegas trip with Dave. So this new book shall keep me busy for awhile.Now my next mission is to collect her other 2 books that she wrote.I would recommend Twlight to anyone because it's a good movie and
so well worth seeing.
anyway time for me to pack and off to Las Vegas.Which I haven't been there in ages.Last time I was in Vegas they were still building the Hotel New York New York.So wonder how different it is this time around. It should be fun.
